Jill Y. | Lexington Fashion Photographer

It's been a while since I've tried something a little out-of-the-box, so I welcomed the opportunity to work with a friend of mine on this project.

Jill was such a great sport. From the clothing to the makeup, she had an enthusiastic attitude that made it impossible not to have a wonderful time (even if it meant gluing cell phone rhinestones to her poor face)! Combine that with a warm sunset, a great backdrop and her beautiful eyes...sounds like an equation for something fabulous!

Despite tornado warnings earlier in the day, the weather cleared up to make room for our gorgeous shoot. Lexington serves as a hidden gem for amazing, unique locations. Spend a few minutes scouting and you're bound to find something good. These were a perfect example. What could be better than a two story wall of recycled cardboard?! I'm always excited to find these little photography playgrounds, which to the normal passersby may seem like an eyesore, but to me an urban paradise.

Once we got started, I could have kept shooting all day! Poor Jill had to deal with me urging her to stop every few feet to try another pose, to check out the lovely lighting or just to snap a few more. I think she learned quickly that "just one more" really means "you're going to be here a while." Again, I couldn't have asked for a more cooperative, gorgeous or sweet model.

I hope you love viewing these as much as I loved shooting them. I hope to try some more creative, funky shoots in the near future. Anyone who is interested should feel free to contact me at theendphotography@yahoo.com. For the rest of you, feel free to add your own feedback, ask questions and enjoy!

Thanks guys!

Hello to all!

Hey everyone!

First and foremost, welcome! It's great to finally have an opportunity to have some one-on-one contact with my photography fans, friends and family! While I've never been much of a blogger (in fact, this is my first go at it), I hope this can become a place to share my work, answer questions and spread the word of theENDphotography!

I'll be posting sessions, explaining some of the processing and sharing idea here! Feel free to leave feedback. I look forward to having each and every one of you!

Now, how about I share some of my favorites?

These are from my most recent shoot with the beautiful Lauren. We had such a great time. I couldn't have asked for a better model. She was so excited and bubbly, with one of the most infectious personalities I've come across. Not to mention the fact that she's stunning! We shot these around six o'clock on a perfect Spring day to achieve those warm, rich colors I love. Please enjoy!

Lauren had such an amazing, bubbly smile! What's not to love?! Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

She was such a natural in front of the camera. Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

The textures of the background were amazing. I couldn't have asked for more if I were shooting in a studio. Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

I love the look of the background in this image. A shallow DOF places all of the attention on Lauren, while adding some interest to the image. Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

Warm springtime sunlight is a photographers best friend! Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

She's even gorgeous when she doesn't look at the camera! Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

One of my favorites! She has such amazing eyes! Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

Here comes the sun! Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.

Again, what a beautiful smile! Shot with a Canon 7D + 50MM Lens.
