Jill Y. | Lexington Fashion Photographer

It's been a while since I've tried something a little out-of-the-box, so I welcomed the opportunity to work with a friend of mine on this project.

Jill was such a great sport. From the clothing to the makeup, she had an enthusiastic attitude that made it impossible not to have a wonderful time (even if it meant gluing cell phone rhinestones to her poor face)! Combine that with a warm sunset, a great backdrop and her beautiful eyes...sounds like an equation for something fabulous!

Despite tornado warnings earlier in the day, the weather cleared up to make room for our gorgeous shoot. Lexington serves as a hidden gem for amazing, unique locations. Spend a few minutes scouting and you're bound to find something good. These were a perfect example. What could be better than a two story wall of recycled cardboard?! I'm always excited to find these little photography playgrounds, which to the normal passersby may seem like an eyesore, but to me an urban paradise.

Once we got started, I could have kept shooting all day! Poor Jill had to deal with me urging her to stop every few feet to try another pose, to check out the lovely lighting or just to snap a few more. I think she learned quickly that "just one more" really means "you're going to be here a while." Again, I couldn't have asked for a more cooperative, gorgeous or sweet model.

I hope you love viewing these as much as I loved shooting them. I hope to try some more creative, funky shoots in the near future. Anyone who is interested should feel free to contact me at theendphotography@yahoo.com. For the rest of you, feel free to add your own feedback, ask questions and enjoy!
